Who are your trainers, and are they qualified to work with older adults?

Our trainers and managers hold specialized education in one or more of the following: NASM Senior Fitness Certification, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialization, ACE Alzheimer's Fitness Certification, and ISSA Functional Aging Specialization. All are background-checked, CPR certified, and trained in fall-risk screening and safe transfers.

What happens at the first visit?

The free assessment takes about 45 minutes in the home or community. We look at balance, strength, walking, and what daily life actually requires — stairs, groceries, getting off a low sofa — then send a written plan with goals and suggested session frequency.

Is this safe after surgery or a hospital stay?

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons families call. We coordinate with your physician or physical therapist, start at the level your discharge notes allow, and progress only when the exercises look steady and comfortable.

What does a typical session look like?

About an hour, split the same way every time: first 5–10 minutes for check-in and a safety review, next 40–50 minutes for the program — warm-up, balance and strength work with body weight, bands and light weights, then a daily-life task — and the last 5–10 minutes for cool-down, a recap and what to practice. Nothing is rushed, and everything can be done seated if needed.

Do you work in senior living communities?

Yes. We bring recurring one-to-one training into your building with no added headcount and no separate billing relationship for every family, plus a complimentary monthly group session (45 minutes, up to 20 residents, chair-based options for every ability — we bring the equipment and trainer, you provide the room). Your wellness team gets a dashboard showing participation, attendance, and fall-watch flags for the residents you're approved for — never their medical records.

What's in a progress report, and who sees it?

Each report is written in plain language after the visit, usually within a few hours. It covers what you worked on, effort and comfort during the session, wellness measures such as balance, strength and mobility, any changes the trainer noticed, and photos when you have agreed to them. The client sees everything. Family members you invite see progress, participation and scheduling — never medical records, conditions, medications or billing — and you can revoke that access at any time.

Where do sessions take place?

In your home, in your building's fitness room or common space, or outdoors when the weather is good. No gym membership and no driving required.

We are based in Deerfield IL — serving Chicago's North Shore and northern suburbs — Highland Park, Northbrook, Glencoe, Winnetka, Wilmette, Glenview, Lake Forest, Highwood, Bannockburn, Riverwoods, Evanston, Skokie — plus nearby northern suburbs. If you are just outside, ask; we often reach further.

How often should sessions happen?

Most clients start with two sessions a week. Once balance and strength are steady, many move to once a week for maintenance. You are never locked into a frequency.

How do I reschedule or cancel?

Call or message your trainer, or use your dashboard. Cancel more than 24 hours before a session and there's no fee. Within 24 hours, half the session rate applies. No-shows are billed in full.

Can family members see how things are going?

Yes — that's one of the things that makes us different. When you invite a family member, they get their own permission-based login to see reports, photos, wellness measures, and upcoming visits for the loved one they're approved for. New reports arrive by email, usually within a few hours of each visit. They can leave a note for the trainer or request a schedule change. They cannot see or change bookings, payments, or medical records — those stay with the client.

How much does it cost?

Single sessions and multi-session packages are listed in plain language on our pricing page. There is no membership fee, no initiation fee, and the first assessment is free.

How do session credits work?

Monthly plans include session credits: the weekly plan gives 4 a month and the twice-weekly plan gives 8. A one-hour visit uses 1 credit, 90 minutes uses 1.5, and two hours uses 2. Your remaining credits are always shown in your dashboard, and any visit beyond your credits is simply charged at the single-session rate.

Does insurance or Medicare cover this?

Personal training is generally not covered by Medicare, though some Medicare Advantage plans and long-term care policies reimburse wellness services. We provide itemized receipts you can submit, and many families use HSA or FSA funds.

When do I pay, and how?

Accepted Answer

You are billed after sessions are delivered, by card or check. Packages are billed up front and unused sessions are refundable. Nothing is charged before your free assessment and written plan.

Is there a contract?

No long-term commitment. Unused package sessions are refunded, and cancellations follow the session policy and the Illinois service-contract rules.
